Meet the Herd
The tiny cows, the not-quite-tiny cows and the one who thinks he owns the place.
Every animal here has a name, a history and a very definite personality. Some are Miniature Herefords, some are Highlands, and some are crosses that refuse to fit neatly into a box.
Brenda
She is small, bright, friendly and already
very good at appearing wherever the food is.
Ada
She is quietly confident,
increasingly friendly
Rocky - The Bull
Rocky is the bull at the
centre of the Miniature Hereford story here
Esther
Esther is a red Highland heifer who is becoming more interesting by the week.
Bonnie
She arrived friendly, curious and convinced that any human is her best friend.
Austin
He is a lazy, slightly shy boy who prefers his own company more than Brenda does!
Bobby
Bobby is the quiet one. He arrived after a difficult birth and spent his first months especially tiny.
Kuki
Kuki is the senior Highland lady of the herd: a former show cow and bautifully halter trained.
Bernard
Born Sept 2025, we lost him about 10 times in the 3 days after he was born - he loves to hide.
Betty
Born Oct 2025, Betty is our baby of the herd and spends lots of time with her overprotective mum.
Brain
When he is awake for more than five minutes, he is cheeky, inquisitive and interested in talking to the humans.
Vera
Not really a tiny cow but a retired lady with a special place in our hearts!
111
The boss lady of the 1/2 miniture mums. She is a handful! Bobbys Mum.
107
Ada and Bernards mum. A kind and curious cow who is very cautious.
109
Boss no.2 when 111 isn't looking, 109 is mum to Austin and Betty.
33
AKA squide face squide because of her cute nose. Mum to Brenda.
