Tiny Cow Preview: Meet the herd

Come and meet Tiny Cows Yorkshire before Tiny Cows Yorkshire is quite finished.

While our dedicated visitor barn is being built, we're opening the farm for a limited number of very small, behind-the-scenes visits. Spend proper time with some of our friendliest young cattle: meet them, stroke them, groom them, discover their personalities and take far too many photographs. You'll also meet the wider Tiny Cows herd, from our Miniature Hereford mums and youngsters to our Highlands and Rocky, our fully grown Miniature Hereford bull.

Working-farm preview
These visits take place before our purpose-built visitor barn opens, so expect real farm buildings, outdoor conditions and probably some mud.

What happens on your visit:

1. Welcome to Tiny Cows

We'll meet you at the farm, introduce ourselves and give you a short safety briefing before heading to meet the cattle. This is a live working farm, so we'll also explain where you can go, where you shouldn't and why the cows generally have right of way.

2. Meet some of our friendliest cows

Then it's time for the important bit. We'll introduce you to selected members of our young herd and give you time to get to know them properly. You'll learn their names, hear their stories and very quickly discover that cows have considerably more personality than they're usually given credit for.

3. Groom, stroke and fuss

You'll have the opportunity to brush and stroke the cattle and discover where each one prefers to be scratched. There may even be the occasional cuddle.

4. Meet the wider herd

Next we'll introduce you to more of Tiny Cows Yorkshire. You'll meet Miniature Hereford mums and youngsters, our Highlands and other members of the herd, including Rocky, our fully grown Miniature Hereford bull.

Some cattle will be met from the appropriate side of their pen or barrier rather than through direct handling.

5. Feed the cows

We'll provide suitable snacks so you can feed selected members of the herd under our supervision.

6. Take plenty of photographs

There is no hurried photo stop. Our groups are deliberately tiny so you have time to enjoy being with the animals and capture photographs along the way.

Before the polished bit comes the muddy bit.

These Preview Experiences are deliberately different from the permanent Tiny Cow Experiences launching from 8 May 2027.

There is no smart reception area yet.

No coffee machine.

No purpose-built visitor barn.

Instead, you'll see our farm much more like we see it every day.

There may be mud. It may be cold. You'll be around real farm buildings and outdoor spaces while the future home of Tiny Cows Yorkshire is still taking shape.

That's part of the appeal — and why these limited visits are available at a special £24.95 preview price.

You'll be amongst the first people ever to experience Tiny Cows Yorkshire.

Every visit is slightly different.

Our cows are living animals rather than attractions on a timetable.

Who takes part and exactly how much interaction they fancy can change according to their health, temperament and welfare on the day.

We will never make an animal participate simply because something was written on an itinerary.

We work at the cows' pace. We think that's part of what makes spending time with them special.
